I tip-toed out of the world of classical music administration and orchestral tour management back in the mid nineties to train as an Alexander teacher with The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT).

A happy meeting on a train station led me to Edinburgh in 1999 where I was able to quieten my over-stretched, London-born nervous system and give myself time to explore my love of improvised voice and dance and the internal Chinese martial arts and to become acquainted with the beautiful poetry and practices from the Sufi tradition.

I’m still here in this beautiful city over 20 years later deepening in life, teaching when required and encouraging my students to become more living through their own unique and individual modes of expression.

For the past four years I’ve also been teaching trainee Alexander teachers at The Edinburgh Alexander Training School (EATS)
